Auto loan interest of 18% Help?

chessloser24 asked:

I purchased a car around 12600 (with a 1000 down payment included 1000-13600) with a credit score around 550. Americredit gave me an interest rate of 18%. Five months later my credit score is 646 and Im expecting it to raise around 669 early September (raises 20 to 24 points monthly). My question is should I wait a year to refinance? The car sales man told me that I shouldn’t refinance bad credit. Will applying to get my loan refinance lower my credit score? Will credit lenders prefer a year worth of on time payments on my credit history?. Will changing my creditor lower my credit score?

How fast can I get my husband a credit score now that were buying a house?

Shree P asked:

I have good credit and I thought that since Im married that automatically that my h got the same credit score. So when we went to purchase the rental we are living in the Broker originally said that we would be fine as my h has a good government job hes been at for a few years now and I make about 1000 a month and my credit rating is good.

So now the broker tell us that we had a problem with a lender (shes still trying though with someone else) because there saying my h has no credit. Not bad credit just no credit so she says worse case scenerio is we would have to get a COSIGNER. I freaked.

So how can I get fast credit on his score? He doesnt even show up in the system because he has no credit. If I add him to me will he automaticlaly be the same credit as me? Please help.

How do you fight the credit beauro?

janineriemer444 asked:

I never received bills for my student loan until 6 months later, due to multiple address and phone number changes since 2004. The school didn’t update my address with them. By the time i was done with school i had so many loans, i figured they were all under one roof with sally mae but i guess i forgot about mohela. Anyway, they docked me on my credit report and i don’t know what to do! i don’t want a bad credit score for the next 7 years over a measly $60 a month! Please help! I also spoke with Mohela (lender) and they said that they are not able to lift the bad credit and i need to speak with the credit beauro, but when i called all i got was an automated service that was more confusing, What do i do?
ok, mohela actually send me letters under the name Slexriemer instead of Riemer, does that matter? As far as incorrect information. I sure as heck didn’t give them that name!
And what is the address of the beauro i need to send a dispute letter to?

Credit Score and Mortgage Situation?

Waiting On Charlie Marie..♥ asked:

My husband and I were looking into buying our first home with the intentions of obtaining a FHA loan. However, after doing some research a couple months back, I discovered that my husband had a terrible credit score of 547. The $11,170 student loan that his father was court ordered to pay during the divorce was more than 90 days late on 9 separate occasions. His father never told us that he wasn’t paying this loan, and since he was in charge of it, the only contact information they had was his father’s and his mother’s/his home address (with whom he doesn’t talk to). After talking to a mortgage loan specialist, we realized there would be no one that would approve us for a mortgage even given the circumstance. So some friends of mine graciously said that they will give us a place to stay so we can financially focus our money on working off his student loans. So my first question is, if we put more than $2,000 a month down on his loans, how long would it take before his credit score began to rise? Also, my husband threatened to take him to court for violating the court order where his father then said that he would only be able to get a $5,000 loan out to cover the costs. My second question is if we contacted the US Department of Education/Direct Loan (loan lender) and told them the situation, that we had $5,000 to put down on it, and that we could send a copy of the court order, would they remove most of the bad credit with the loan?
If someone could please give us some answers and insight into what we could do I would so very much appreciate it. This whole situation has put such a strain on our marriage and I don’t know what to do at this point.

Can I get a loan from a bank that requires no co-signer?

Verachi asked:

I’ve filled out my FAFSA and my college has given me the most that they could, which was 1/3 of my tuition. I’ve applied for scholarships in High School and it still wasn’t enough. Every time I apply for a loan that requires a co signer, I get rejected because of my father’s bad credit. I have no credit, and I’m 17, is there a private lender that would give me an education loan?

How is a credit card considered a written contract instead of an open account?

rich61969 asked:

I am being sued by a collection agency for an old (over 3 years) Visa credit card debt. I live in Alabama and the Statue of Limitations on Open Accounts is 3 years. I hired an attorney but he says that I probably will have to settle because it is not an open account but a written contract account which has a SOL of 6 years. He says this because the collection agency produced a piece of paper that I signed when I opened the account (basically it’s the credit card application). I researched on my own and most information that I found says that credit cards are always open accounts. I did find one place (Wiki Answers) where someone said that credit cards could be written contracts. Is my attorney wrong or can this indeed be a written contract in some way. I really need to know before I go to court. Please give me some type of solid backup to your answer and not just your opinion.
