the company the sold it too. Apparently it went from Bank one to Chase to a company called Velocity Investments. Velocity has forwarded it to a law firm called Regan and Regan. They have now filed a civil judgment against me for $1600 and will settle for 85%. Is there any way I can find out how much the Original balance on this card was. I am not even feeling like it is mine. These guys just pop up out of the blue on my credit report.Is there a way to dispute this to remove it from my credit history? Thanks for the answers?

Also if you have worked with one of those credit repair company the kind that show you how to write the letter disputing issues and such not, please let me know your expereince. I screwed up when I was younger and paying for it now. If I could just figure out what this last card was I will be all caught up.
I haver never been served a sumons but it is listed as a civil judgement against me.
It says on my credit report the Chase debit was sold. Last date of payment shows Oct. 2002 when it says the account was opened 6-6-2002. The civil judgment against me is dated 10-13-2004. which date would I use for the statue of imitations.
