Leslie asked:

I have a credit score of 654 and want to improve my score to get the best possible APR for a used car loan. I was told by my credit card company that it looked bad on my credit report that I had a lender closed line of credit (it was a totally paid off credit card that I no longer used). Is it better to leave it closed and move on, or to re-open that credit card so to increase my line of credit and hopefully cancel out the lender closed account. (Even though it was closed in good standing, my credit card that I use said it was a negative mark on my credit). I need help. How do I increase my credit score..I want to be at 700.
